Anna Maria Island, sometimes called Anna Maria Key, is a barrier island on the coast of Manatee County, Florida in the United States. The island is named after Anna Maria Ceravolo. It is bounded on the west by the Gulf of Mexico, on the south by Longboat Pass (which separates it from Longboat Key), on the east by Anna Maria Sound, and on the north by Tampa Bay. Anna Maria Island is approximately seven miles long north to south. Anna Maria Island is at latitude 27.513N, longitude -82.719W.
'Le Paradis', 727 Jacaranda Rd.
'Le Paradis' is located at the middle of Jacaranda Road, at the corner of Holly Road, on the Gulf side of the island in Anna Maria City. 'Le Paradis' is only a few minutes walk to the beach (only one row of houses separates the house from the beach access).
Pine Avenue, the main commercial street of Anna Maria, is only a 5 minute bike ride, as is the Bay Beaches on the other side of the island. On Pine Avenue you will find Beach Bums, where you can hire lots of outdoor equipment, including bikes, golf carts, kayaks and paddleboards amongst other things, the Anna Maria Historic Green Village, with some great stores, including a jewerly store, an outdoor clothing and equipment store, art gallery and a bakery.
If you're looking for a supermarket, Publix is the closest, located along East Bay Drive in Holmes Beach, which is approximately a 10 minute drive in the car.
